1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you use Prompt X-Ray, a browser-based ASCII smuggling and AI prompt security scanner. It is written for a UK audience and is intended to support users in the UK and EEA. The website operator and legal contact details are currently being configured. For privacy questions, contact: [email protected].
2. Prompt content
Prompt X-Ray is designed to process scanner input locally in your browser whenever technically possible. The scanner does not need to send prompt text to an AI API, prompt-processing service, database, or user account system. You should still avoid entering confidential information into any website unless you are satisfied that it is appropriate.
Local processing does not mean that all information about a visit is never collected. Website hosting, security tooling, browser requests, analytics, advertising, or consent-management services may process technical information when enabled or required.
3. Technical information
Website infrastructure or security systems may receive information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, requested pages, timestamps, referrer information, and diagnostic or security events. This information may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, maintain availability, understand aggregate usage where analytics is enabled, and protect the service.
4. Cookies and advertising
Prompt X-Ray may use essential storage or similar technologies needed for basic operation. Analytics or advertising technologies may be introduced in the future. If Google AdSense or another advertising provider is enabled, that provider may use cookies or similar technologies and may process technical information, advertising identifiers, approximate location, and browsing or interaction information where legally permitted and where appropriate consent has been obtained.
Non-essential technologies should be controlled through an appropriate consent-management process for UK/EEA visitors. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. See the separate Cookie Policy for more detail.
5. Third-party services
Third-party hosting, security, analytics, advertising, and consent-management providers may process information on behalf of or independently from the website when those services are configured. Their own privacy notices explain their processing. Prompt X-Ray does not intentionally send prompt contents to third-party prompt-processing or AI services.
6. Legal bases and retention
Depending on the processing, information may be handled because it is necessary to provide the website, maintain security, comply with a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate interest such as service reliability, or because you have provided consent for non-essential cookies or advertising. Technical logs and consent records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for their stated purpose, legal obligations, security investigations, or dispute handling.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, UK and EEA users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data-protection authority. Requests should be sent to: [email protected].
8. International transfers and security
Some service providers may process technical information outside the UK or EEA. Where required, appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections should be used. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect website information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children
Prompt X-Ray is not directed to children and is not intended to knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through a service connected to the website, please contact the operator at [email protected].
10. Changes
This policy may be updated when the website, analytics, advertising, consent tooling, or legal requirements change. The effective date and any material changes will be reflected on this page.
